Charming and personal service
Justin V, London, UK – 24 April, 2016
Great location in the medina, close enough for everything to be an easy walk but in a quite side street so very quiet at night. The riad is small with four rooms and a lovely roof terrace. Rooms are cleverly design to fit the essentials into the small space. It’s a riad so think of it more like staying in….
We love Yassine!
Sarah B, Plymouth, UK – 23 April, 2016
We had an incredible stay at Riad Dar Zaman and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Marrakech. Hassan drew us a map with all the recommended attractions and tips and it was invaluable for our stay. Also the dinner was probably the best we had throughout our whole trip, which we received for free through the four day….
We felt like family
Barbara G, New York City, NY, USA – 23 April, 2016
I initially booked Dar Zaman because I was arriving in Marrakech a day before my adult son, and it was well-reviewed as a good place for solo women to stay. The owner, Peter, is British, so communication via email was easy, and he assured me he and his staff would make sure I got there safely and would guide me…
Excellent service from Hassan and Yassine
Beryl D, Rainham, UK – 22 April, 2016
Recently stayed at Riad Dar Zaman and would like to say a big thank you to Hassan & Yassine for their kind hospitality and helpfulness. They are charming brothers and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. They are a huge asset to the Riad.
The friendliest hosts ever
mklingelhoefer, Munich, Germany – 8 April, 2016
We felt very much at home at Dar Zaman. Hassan arranged pick up from the airport and met us at the drop off point in Marrakech to guide us to the hotel because on our own we wouldn’t have found it. Hassan also gave us great advice on how to navigate through the narrow alleys of Marrakech and had helpful…
This riad is an oasis of peace in hectic Marrakech
Joshua0086, Amsterdam, Holland – 5 April, 2016
I stayed here with two friends and we absolutely loved the place. The architecture of the building is awesome. There is a nice terrace where you can have breakfast or just chill out. So thumbs up! But the most positive thing worth mentioning is the staff who worked there. They were absolutely amazing and made the experience of our stay…
Very special experience
DanielPruek, Zurich, Switzerland – 4 April, 2016
Was our first trip to Marrakech and we made the perfect choice choosing Dar Zaman. It is a very nice small Riad in the center of the old Medina. The rooms are small but very nice. Sure, ours did not even have a wardrobe, but we had the beautiful roof terrace right in front of the door. Eat at least once…
Good value and central
clairev760, London, UK – 28 March, 2016
I really liked this riad; Peter and his team were very welcoming and helpful. I really appreciated the time they gave to go through the map! And I liked my room on the roof terrace. It’s walking distance from the souk and Majorelle garden and really convenient for everything you’ll want to see.
What a fabulous place
sandrafielden, Hebden Bridge, UK – 26 March, 2016
This is one of the best place I have ever stayed in Morocco, the staff are so helpful and friendly. With only 4 rooms it is so cosy and it is like staying in someone’s home rather than a impersonal hotel. It is a great location for the souk and I can not wait to go back with more of…
Piece of heaven!!!!
officejans, Mainz, Germany – 23 March, 2016
I can highly recommend the Riad Dar Zaman – what a nice place to be. Peter and his team are so gentle and they help with all they can. From the welcome with tea and cakes – to the nice support by finding my ways in the small streets in Marrakech – all was perfect. A lovely decorated house with…
Wonderful stay and welcome to Marrakech
Jenny H – 21 March, 2016
Peter, Hassan and his team were gracious and treated us with such care. We had two very comfortable rooms for our two teenage boys and us parents. Hassan’s introduction to navigating the souk was wonderful and spot on. Rooms were lovely and in a lovely local, part of the old Medina away from the hustle and bustle but still well situated. Look forward to the next visit! Peter was very helpful in arranging some onwards transport we needed. Thank you!
Very nice riad with great service
Craig A – 20 March, 2016
Dar Zaman is a great riad with excellent service. The cooking class was great! The breakfasts were tasty. The beds are comfortable. Very nice people working there. Highly recommend staying at Dar Zaman!
Incredible service, great location
TheFunkyDuck, London, UK – 15 March, 2016
I’m writing this as our week stay at Riad Dar Zaman is coming to an end. Like other reviewers it’s most noteworthy to mention the incredible service provided by Peter and his attentive team. Nothing is too much and we felt welcome as soon as arrived. In fact before that, when I emailed Peter in advance of our trip he was helpful and offered to arrange dinner at the Riad on our first night in Marrakech.
A cooking course with a personal touch
Hev27, Manchester, UK – 7 March, 2016
Though we weren’t staying at Dar Zaman, three friends and I had a cooking course there; Karima, the wonderful chef, was assisted by Hassan, who translated for us and formed the other half of this fantastically fun duo. As well as a trip around the markets, we were treated to some history of the riad and a beautiful welcome to the space. While we expected a short course, we enjoyed an unrushed, friendly experience and leisurely consumed our incredible food on the riad’s roof terrace in the sun. We went away with new friends and even better memories. One not to miss.
Increíble alojamiento, increíble experiencia
Claudia M, Madrid, Spain – 11 December, 2015
Hospitality, Comfort, and excellent food
Natasha240, North Carolina, USA – 1 December, 2015
Riad Dar Zaman is clean, quiet, and conveniently located. The rooms are not huge, but are charming, with comfortable beds, reliable WiFi, and plenty of hot water. The dinner we ate here was our best meal in Morocco. All the people working at Dar Zaman were friendly and very helpful. Peter was responsive to emailed inquiries and arranged an excellent……
Great People, Great Service
Ryan W, San Francisco, USA – 23 November, 2015
The Dar Zaman more than exceeded our, already high, expectations. This was my wife and my first trip to Morocco, and I’m very glad we chose to stay at the small, intimate dar Zaman. The house is beautiful, well cared for, and very comfortable, but the real treat is getting to know Peter and his staff. There is so much…
Oasis in the midst of the medina
pdxcec, Portland, USA – 10 November, 2015
Riad Dar Zaman and the incredible staff were the highlight of my trip to Marrakech for Sistercon 2015. They arranged for a car to meet us at the airport and from that moment until we left Hassan, Yassine, Karima and Peter went above and beyond to ensure we had the knowledge and attention for a great holiday. Being able to……
Yet again, superb!
Monica TW, Royal Tunbridge Wells, UK – 10 November, 2015
Delicious food, amazing service in a beautiful, relaxing Riad. Peter and his staff go out of their way to make your trip truly memorable. All taxis, dinner reservations and excursions were arranged when we got there and nothing was too much trouble. Our meal on the terrace on our first evening was fantastic, as was breakfast each morning. After long…
Probably our favourite holiday ever
jbpape, London, UK – 6 November, 2015
I had to persuade my partner to come to Marrakech and to come to a Riad rather than a hotel. My problem next holiday would be persuading him to go anywhere else or stay anywhere else. We both agreed that it is probably the best holiday we’ve had. We fell in love with the Riad Dar Zaman and Marrakech. The…
David G, Los Angeles, California – 6 November, 2015
A wonderful home in the Medina – a welcoming oasis of peace and tranquility. Hassan gave us an excellent map and instructions for finding our way around the medina along with fantastic restaurant and bar recommendations. Yassine personally escorted us to several places and arranged for an amazing private driver for a tour of the Atlas mountains.
Beauty and tranquility in magical Marrakech
Mike C, North Yorkshire, UK – 4 October, 2015
Stayed for a week at the Dar Zaman in September, having visited Marrakech before this ,was our first stay in a Riad, but certainly not the last. Not being sure of the exact location, Peter( the owner) arranged for a taxi to collect us at the airport. At the drop off point we were met by Yassine who walked us the few…
Frank G, Derbyshire, UK – 27 September, 2015
My girlfriend and I turned up in the evening with a small contingent of local “guides” pestering us for money. Yassine opened the door and quickly helped resolve the situation. We were ushered in and given some sweet Moroccan mint tea to unwind. From then on we knew we had hit gold with our Riad. In the morning (and every…
Warm and genuine staff with an authentic Moroccan ambiance
Hannah R, New York, NY, USA – 20 September, 2015
This charming and sweet abode was the perfect pick for my stay in Marrakech. I have been swept off my feet with the staff and their warm generosity in helping and making my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Hassan, I can easily call my new dear friend, and his brother Yassin and Karima were all so sweet and…
One of the best things in Marrakech
sebastian-com, Madrid, Comunidad de Madrid, Spain
The Riad is very well situated and you can easily walk to all touristic attraction. Still, it is far enough to enjoy the local life and have a break from the busy medina. The room was very nice and clean, and all services were great. All the team is very dedicated, profesional, and friendly. A perfect place to stay to…
stewartlane60, Portland, Oregon – 15 October, 2014
We were picked up at the airport as we had requested, and the cab took us as far into the Medina as possible. We were then met by Hassan who took us the rest of the way to the beautiful Riad Dar Zaman. By being a smaller Riad, all of our needs were personally handled by Hassan or Peter the…
liz2034, New York City, New York
So glad we decided to spend three nights at Dar Zaman. The lovely riad is conveniently located within the chaotic medina, but we stepped through the front door into a cool silence that was hard to leave. Hassan welcomed us with a glass of tea and an expert lesson in navigating the streets. He and his brother were endlessly friendly…
A very special place to stay
Duncan1980, Edinburgh, United Kingdom – 13 October, 2014
Riad Dar Zaman is a charming, unpretentious place to stay, offering a warm welcome and friendly assistance invaluable to a stay in Marrakech. The generosity of spirit we experienced was one of the highlights (if not the highlight) of our trip. Would be delighted to go back.
An Oasis in the Medina
bec94019, San Francisco, California – 13 October, 2014
Dar Zaman was exactly what we needed. It’s very centrally located and became our retreat and safe haven amidst the crazy medina. When we arrived we were greeted with mint tea and a full briefing on how to navigate the souks and the old town by Hassan. It’s no easy task, but he walked us through landmarks to keep an…
GHitchens, Manchester, United Kingdom – 6 October, 2014
We stayed at Riad Dar Zaman at the beginning of September in a last minute booking – could not of hoped for a better place to stay, fantastic oasis in the heart of marrakech – Clean, beautifully decorated and hidden away in the winding streets you get to see the best of the moroccan culture . Hassan was the perfect…
Very Calm Riad!
Mrloughton, London, United Kingdom – 29 September, 2014
Marrakesh is a very busy , polluted, chaotic , smelly city ! You need somewhere quiet , peaceful, relaxing to stay . Riad Dar Zaman is just that ! A little oasis in the middle of the red city ! Peter and Hassan will make sure you fell at home during your stay.
MikeEden, Sao Marcos de Serra, Portugal – 20 September, 2014
This is my second stay at the Dar Zaman, Peter and Hasam welcomed me back with ” welcome home” to this amazing Riad …So quiet yet in the middle of everything…I had the roof terrace room that was very comfortable and on opening the door was greeted by ( see picture ) All the staff are so friendly and you…
Horst H, Munich, Germany – 4 September, 2014
Riad Dar Zaman is just a great place to stay. Within the confusing little streets of Marrakesh it’s a bit hard to find but once the door has opened, you find yourself in nice, neat, quiet and lovely decorated place. Not only was the atmosphere great, but also Peter and especially Hassan who’ve helped us with finding a tourist guide,…
sueandkenh, Manchester, United Kingdom – 17 August, 2014
Peter is a wonderful host who when we found out 1 week before our trip there had been a mix up in accommodation sorted everything out for us thank you again Peter. We have just come back from a wonderful 6 night stay at Dar Zaman. The Riad is fantastic – an oasis of chic calm in crazy, amazing Marrakech. Great place to stay
almost38, USA – 2 August, 2014
Hassan was a fantastic host peter was also helpful and very available to answer my questions while booking. the only thing that I didn’t love was that the transfer from train to Riad was €15. (felt like a lot) but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
Paradise in the Medina
Charlie M, Cambridge, UK – 1 August, 2014
I visited the Riad in the late summer of 2013 with my girlfriend. The staff were polite and helpful from the minute they met us to when they saw us off at the end of a truly magical week. The Riad is located in the historical centre of Marrakesh meaning you are in the heart of true Moroccan culture; there…
daisy k, Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand – 18, July, 2014
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we recommend it so highly. The riad is beautiful and just as described. Beds are comfy, rooms clean and air com/wifi both fully work. Breakfast is delicious and location is perfect – 15 min walk/5 min taxi to Jemaa el Fna. We didn’t meet the owner Peter but if he…
MDMomof3, Bethesda, MD – 13 July, 2014
We loved our one-week stay at Dar Zaman. It is within the medina but an interesting 10-minute walk from the chaos, a feature that we liked because the area seems more authentic and less touristy. As you maneuver the twists and turns to find the Riad, you will scatter neighborhood kids bouncing things and rolling hoops, chattering and giggling all…
Perfect Moroccan escape
JacquiandPhilC, Northamptonshire – 9 June, 2014
I cannot fault this fabulous intimate Riad. Lovely clean rooms and great breakfasts lunches and evening meals,in a great location …. Only 10 mins walk from the square. However, the friendly warm welcome, by staff Hassan and Karima and owner Peter are what make this Riad extra special, nothing is too much trouble, and Hassan is always happy to give…
Amazing little place
Emma E, London, United Kingdom – 8 June, 2014
Dar Zaman is a wonderful little riad in the heart of Marrakech. Peter and Hassan were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The riad decor was very tasteful, the food was amazing, the roof terrace was a lovely place to relax after a full day of sightseeing. We would recommend this amazing place to anyone.
Lovely little riad
Clarebelle-traveller, London, United Kingdom – 7 June, 2014
Wonderful little riad in the heart of Marrakech with all the amenities you will need. Great value for money. Peter was very helpful in getting us familiar with the area which is fairly difficult to navigate at first. Breakfast was tasty. Highly recommended.
A real oasis of calm
GH2012_12, Cumbria, United Kingdom – 28 May, 2014
Well done to Peter and Hassan for making our break so memorable. The riad is a hidden gem and I mean hidden! …. but Hassan will give you a map and detailed instructions of all the places to eat and visit. From collection at the airport to providing a lovely meal on the first night Hassan will try and anticipate…

I work in the travel industry and have been visiting Marrakech for the past 15 years. I have stayed in a wide range of accommodation throughout Morocco and love the country. Perfect in every way!
Sue D, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom – 28 May, 2014
My son has stayed here several times and often talked enthusiastically about it at home in the UK. So when he offered to take there me as a birthday treat I was thrilled. It was perfect in every way. My room was off the roof terrace – peaceful and airy. The cool atrium was also a delightful spot to relax…
Tomi H, Rabat, Morocco – 21 May, 2014
My husband and I stayed a couple of nights at Dar Zaman in April. We were in Marrakech for 3 nights and, unfortunately, Dar Zaman only had a room for 2 of those nights. Peter was super helpful in helping me find a riad for our last night. La Baignoire room was very nice with a beautiful little bathroom. Hassan…
Wow! Fantastic Holiday, Fantastic Riad, Fantastic People. Go.

Great Cooking Class in the heart of the Medina
Lee M, Dallas, Texas, United States – 18 May, 2014
We participated in a half day cooking class and it was a wonderful experience. We created our menu, went shopping in the neighborhood market and then returned to the riad and spent the rest of the morning preparing our feast. The day was capped off by eating our meal on the roof with a view of the Atlas Mountains. Great…
clare19901, Portsmouth, United Kingdom – 11 May, 2014
Dar Zaman is a beautiful riad in one of the nicest parts of the city, close to the northern souks which feel much more authentic than the more tourist ones close to the main square. Hassan meets you at the taxi drop off and gives you some of the best advice on visiting the city while you have one of…
Where can I find the words to describe this beautiful Riad and its people?
Srdan M, London, United Kingdom – 11 May, 2014
I stayed in Riad Dar Zaman for three nights in May 2014 and the experience was absolutely amazing! If you are looking for authentic Moroccan experience, Dar Zaman is definitely the place to stay at. The Riad is superbly decorated in Moroccan stile with an African flavour, perfectly tidy and gives a feel of a home. It is situated in…
Beautiful riad with fantastic food and service
Kenny2603, London, United Kingdom – 11 May, 2014
We stayed at Dar Zaman with our extended family for 8 nights to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday. This beautifully decorated riad was in a fantastic location – close enough to all the excitement but wonderfully quiet on the roof terrace and courtyard. The included breakfasts were fabulous and the four dinners that we had in the riad were better than…
Friendly and delicious
Travel_Mike_12, Melbourne, Australia – 4 May, 2014
As part of our honeymoon we stayed here for two nights. Warm and helpful staff, comfy beds and incredible food! The best we had in Morocco! Definitely suggest dining in at least one night. In a quiet location but a very short walk to the heart of the medina. Would definitely go back!
Again, a fabulous experience
Priscilla C, New York City, New York – 4 May, 2014
This is my second time at this Riad. I chose to stay at Dar Zaman again because I felt very safe and having Peter (the owner) giving me all the support I needed was a major plus. The Riad is super clean, it has beautiful decoration creating an amazing ambiance, staff are very kind and it’s in the heart of…

I could not have chosen a better Riad for my first trip to Marrakech. My friend and I have just spent four wonderful nights at Dar Zaman and felt totally at home. A great location for exploring Marrakech. Small but perfect riad tucked away not far from souks. Friendly professional staff that are extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this riad and will stay there again next year.
Superb accommodation in the Medina
SH83, UK – 4 April, 2014
– the traditional building of this riad means that its super quiet and also much cooler than out in the streets of the medina – the room was spacious with a very comfortable bed with high quality bedding – great bathroom with toiletries – very relaxing space (you’ll need it!) – Peter and Hasan are extremely helpful with lots of…

Stop Looking and Book Here
Alessandrobu, Campomarino, Italy – 19 February, 2014
I just left riad Dar Zaman and I can honestly say that this place has definitely got more than the perfect riad features – a part from an extra night we had decided we wanted very late on our very poorly organized trip. The wonderful Hassan welcomed us by saying “welcome home” and it really was not an exaggeration at…
A Hidden Gem
BernadetteMc, Cardiff, United Kingdom – 17 January, 2014
Tucked away in the quietest of side streets, this riad has it all in spades. Beautiful, comfortable, clean and the most amazing staff. Nothing is too much trouble including carrying the 3 trays that constitutes breakfast up to the roof terrace because the weather was so lovely. Hassan takes looking after you very seriously and nothing is too much trouble….
Wonderful Moroccan Cooking Class
Lee M, Dallas, Texas
I signed up for a cooking class for my husband and two daughters (17 and 20 years old), thinking it would be a great experience in Morocco. We booked it for the first morning we were there and what a wonderful introduction to Morocco and memorable day! We met at the Riad and Peter, the owner, explained what the day…
Silvia M, London, England – 3 January, 2014
I agree with this comment below – you can book it without reading all the reviews. We stayed 5 nights. Hassan is everything there – friendly, helps with anything you need. One day we informed a bit late that we would prefer to have dinner in the Riad. And Karima prepared a delicious tagine with kefta and eggs for two….
Beautiful Riad and Fantastic Customer Service
NeilM646, London, United Kingdom – 3 January, 2014
This was my first trip to Marrakech (went with the family) and I stayed one night in Dar Zaman and another two nights in another Riad elsewhere in the Medina. Dar Zaman was absolutely amazing. The Riad is well laid out, the rooms are functional and clean and, above all, the people running the place are amazing. Hassan, the day-to-day…
An Experience in Itself
joann_henderson, Seattle, Washington – 1 January, 2014
We were a group of five women who stayed in Riad Dar Zaman as the accommodation of choice on our trip to Marrakech, Morocco in October, 2013. It was the kind of vacation you never forget, largely due to the care of those you have entrusted with your rooming in a foreign location. The trip into the Medina from the…

Best hotel in a long time
JanGerber, Schaffhausen, Switzerland – 18 December, 2013
We stayed for a few days and selected this place because of its high customer ratings. We had a fantastic time, the best value for money ever probably. After spending some time trying to choose a Riad (there are hundreds), we went with Zaman and I am so glad we did because It is a great place to stay. Zaman, Days Gone By, in the 21st Century
Anjouan17, Pittsford, New York – 27 November, 2013
“Zaman” evokes the day of old in a way few English words do. And stepping into Riad Dar Zaman is like stepping back in time — but with a 21st century twist. The Riad has been beautifully restored, but much of the furniture is contemporary and sleek. Use of Malian mud cloth as art work pays tribute to Marrakech’s establishment…
A terrific travelling experience – skip the big hotels
Sionel, Warrington, United Kingdom – 27 November, 2013
A review of Dar Zaman was always going to be tricky. Reviews are comparative; I can pit one restaurant against another easily enough, and the same thing goes for hotels. But a riad? I’d never really even heard of a riad before booking into Dar Zaman, let alone stayed in one. Was it similar to a B&B or Guest House?…
Wonderful little oasis
kjones1, Reston, VA – 21 November, 2013
This riad is wonderful. Hassan is the most helpful person on the planet! It was very overwhelming being shown a map of the medina for the first time (and wondering how you wouldn’t get lost), but Hassan walked us through everything and we didn’t get lost once! He also had wonderful suggestions for restaurants, shops, and attractions. Peter was also…
Stylish and comfortable place away from the hustle and bustle
cwrugirl, Seattle, Washington – 19 November, 2013
We stayed here one night. The room is small but comfortable, clean and plush. The toiletries provided are nice as well. The water pressure in shower and wash basin was good and there was hot water all the time (which is not the case in many other places we stayed in Morocco). Hassan and Peter were helpful with directions and…
Second visit and still the best Riad in the Medina!
monique112, Montreal, Canada – 13 November, 2013
It was our second time in this Riad and it is was the same warm feeling of being at home. Peter, the owner and Hassan, the manager are always there to help you get around and makes sure that your stay in Marrakech is a great experience. Peter helped us organize our trip to the desert and everything was just…
A home from home
Eligmon, Wales, UK – 9 November, 2013
Dar Zaman is elegant and stylish with an atmosphere of calm tranquillity which is much appreciated after the madness of the medina. It is located in a residential area a litle away from the main souks etc so you don’t find yourself being accosted by people selling their wares as soon as you step out of the door. Rooms are…
DAR ZAMAN..SIMPLY THE BEST
MikeEden, Sao Marcos da Serra, Portugal – 5 November, 2013
I had the most wonderful holiday at the Dar Zaman Riad, nothing was to much trouble for Peter and his amazing staff, the rooms were just wonderful, clean and very comfortable all with A/C, Breakfast was a joy, I had dinner every night I was there, the cook is a wonder, and with only 4 rooms you have a much more “Personal Experience”…
I wish we could have bottled the essence of this place
azure983, Edinburgh, United Kingdom – 3 November, 2013
This Riad is really made by the presence of its owner Peter, and Hassan who helps him run the whole operation. Peter is a rare gem – quiet, unassuming but with a real care for his guests and their wellbeing. He goes out of his way to ensure that people who come here enjoy their experience. Advice, maps and support…
Tranquil riad in the heart of the medina
Kerry62_13, Edinburgh, United Kingdom – 29 October, 2013
Found this gem of a riad on trip advisor last year and spent a fantastic 3 days here. As we’ll has being right in the heart of the historic medina it was so lovely inside. We had the top floor garden room and it was lovely to walk out into the terrace were we would relax. Breakfast was also served…
A peaceful Oasis in the middle of a very hectic city
SL20132013, London, United Kingdom – 17 October, 2013
My mum and I really enjoyed our stay at Dar Zaman. We felt extremely safe and were very well looked after by Hassan and Peter. It was a real added bonus to receive a complimentary dinner on our first night, especially as we were feeling rather tired at the end of such a long travelling day. Peter and Hassan were…

Agosto 2013.
Great place to stay
kiri235, London, United Kingdom – 23 September, 2013
We stayed in Dar Zaman for three nights and it was a great experience. The riad itself is beautiful and really well kept. We had the Baignoire room, which was very small but this was fine as we didn’t need to be in it much, however if you are staying for longer than 3 nights you might like to choose…
Stunning Riad – perfect for a first timer!
bertieboy, London, England – 15 September, 2013
We spent 3 nights at this Riad and it couldn’t have been better. As a first time visitor the help and advice from Peter and Hassan couldn’t have been more useful, and the location was perfect to walk in and out of the main attractions, whilst still being amongst the real Marrakech. A real oasis away from the madness. The…
Dar Zaman – a truly unique and special place
DidsMacdonald, Staunton, England – 15 September, 2013
Peter and his team were nothing short of excellent. From the telephone call before the trip to say “I haven’t heard from you about your arrival and I want to ensure you are met” to the final wave goodbye, Peter and Hamman were friendly, helpful, hospitable and went the extra mile. Two friends from New Zealand, my sister in law…

Spent 3 nights over a long weekend in Marrakech and stayed here. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were very good and the hotel was perfectly positioned for shopping in the Souks.
LOVE this place!
oldseptblues, Brooklyn, New York – 10 September, 2013
We absolutely LOVED our time at this Riad! Genuinely one of the most amazing, caring places I have stayed in all my travels. It is a charming place to stay. We had the terrace room and loved that we had a beautiful outdoor space right outside our room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is beyond amazing….
Wise Choice for Marrakech
boasy, London – 8 September, 2013
Dar Zaman was an excellent choice as a first timer to Morocco and beginning my trip in Marrakesh. I chose it because as a non French- Arabic speaking solo female:) I wanted some support from an English speaker at the beginning of my adventure. Needless to say, reviews were all positive too. Peter, the owner is a cool guy. His…

…from the boiling HOT Marrakech. Quiet and calm…and still so close to the souks. Hassan was very helpful in introducing a few places to go – and helping with booking tables at restaurants. Lovely filling breakfast – even on my departure day (at 0630!). I would definitely stay here again.
Handy for the Souk
vkemdlel, Birmingham, United Kingdom – 9 August, 2013
Located in the medina Dar Zaman is just couple of minute’s walk from the famous souk (where you are guaranteed to get lost). We arranged an airport transfer with the riad when we arrived and were glad we did because it would be difficult to find if you had never been there before. The manager Hassan will cater to your…
The best decision you’ve made

Everyone must stay here at the Riad Dar Zaman. The staff are so attentive, generous, kind and offer wonderful recommendations. There is so much to see and do in Marrakech, from the busy souks, relaxing spas and yummy Moroccan tea. Staying at the Riad Dar Zaman allows you to experience authentic Marrakech Medina with everything a short walk away, Staying…

Calm Cool Oasis
jwain834, Newcastle, Staffs, United Kingdom – 24 June, 2013
You arrive in Marrakech, it is hot and dusty and worst of all your Taxi can’t take you to the door of your hotel. Why not? Because you have chosen to stay in a traditional Riad that is only a stones throw away from the bustling souks. You follow Hassan through a maze of narrow alleys until you arrive at…

Just stayed with my daughter 5 nights in this lovely Riad. Perfectly situated, clean, quiet and with a fantastic manager of the hotel (Hassan) that advised and helped us in a fantastic way. I really can advise to use this accommodation if you are planning to go to Marrakech…

Amazing stay again!!
Laura W, United Kingdom – 29 May, 2013
I stayed at the riad 2 yrs ago on a hen do and wanted my family to experience what an amazing time we had. The riad is beautiful and calming, an oasis away from the madness of the medina and souks. What really makes your stay special is Hassan. He looks after everything and really understands all your needs. He…
Even better second time around
johnny03, London, United Kingdom – 23 May, 2013
I stayed in the Dar Zaman some years ago. I was afraid that when I returned that the magic would have died. I was wrong, it was even better. Hassan and Peter could not do enough. But the special feature of this amazing Riad is the sense of tranquility you feel as you step in through the door. It is…
KeriDublin, Geneva, Switzerland – 12 May, 2013
I loved this place – a beautiful, small riad, with the most amazing welcome from the staff – Hassan, the hotel manager was wonderful – as a lone female traveller, he was particularly helpful and nice, helping me find my way around the medina and giving me lots of tips on interesting places to visit. He knows so much and…
Don’t hesitate, just book it
sicMacc, Macclesfield, United Kingdom – 6 May, 2013
Had a 5 night stay at Dar Zaman in March 2013 and can’t recommend it highly enough. All the praise given in the other reviews is well deserved and I echo all the positive points that everyone else has made. The Riad is beautiful (especially so when candlelit at night), the room was a little small but that was absolutely…
An excellent stay – the riad staff manage everything with an effortless grace
HappyMatt, London, United Kingdom – 4 May, 2013
We had a great time staying at Riad Dar Zaman. We stayed in the room with a small balcony which meant we had lots of light flooding in from the central courtyard. Everything was very relaxed and relaxing and Hassan was really kind and helpful. He was great for local knowledge, drawing maps and organising trips for us. Nothing was…
Emma636, Bristol, United Kingdom – 3 May, 2013
This Riad really is as gorgeous as the pics and reviews on here say. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the courtyard and roof terrace are peaceful places to just sit and enjoy the sunshine. Hassan is a great host, and with his maps and guidance, we managed not to get too lost! We also had dinner at the Riad,…

Fantastic stay. Dar Zaman is in a perfect location for exploring Marrakech. Hassan is a brilliant host – he genuinely cares about the guests and their experience of Marrakech. He and Peter were very flexible in allowing my boyfriends bike / bike box to be stored in the beautiful courtyard. The food was incredible – breakfast and supper. The rooms…

Very nice place to stay if you are visiting Marrakech. Hassan couldn’t have been more helpful. Rooms were lovely, as was the roof terrace. We were made to feel very welcome and I would definitely stay here again.
